Professional Support Lawyer | Birmingham | Full or Part-Time A leading national legal and professional services group is seeking a Professional Support Lawyer to support its growing Building Safety Act and Real Estate Dispute Resolution work in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced contentious lawyer looking for a role combining technical legal knowledge, knowledge management, client-facing insight and cross-team collaboration. Full-time and part-time applications will be considered, with flexible working available. The Role: Coordinate know-how and information sharing across the Real Estate Dispute Resolution, Construction and Regulatory teams. Monitor developments in the Building Safety Act, construction and real estate disputes and communicate key updates to the wider team. Produce high-quality client-facing Insight pieces and knowledge-sharing materials. Support the development and delivery of the firm's Building Safety offering, including remediation, recovery actions, regulatory requirements and portfolio reviews. Work with the Construction team to develop understanding of technical defects issues relevant to recovery actions. Create and maintain case precedents and other technical resources. Explore and utilise generative AI solutions to improve knowledge management and service delivery. Support wider Real Estate Dispute Resolution work, including Telecommunications and Electronic Communications Code matters. Work collaboratively across multiple teams and help develop the firm's capabilities and profile in these areas. Candidate Requirements: Qualified solicitor with strong contentious legal experience. Experience in real estate disputes, construction, building safety or a related area would be advantageous. Strong research, drafting and legal analysis skills. Experience producing high-quality legal updates, Insight pieces or knowledge-sharing materials. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage information and competing priorities effectively. Good understanding of technical defects issues in construction and their application to recovery actions. Comfortable developing precedents and embracing technology, including generative AI. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams. A flexible approach, with part-time and return-to-work candidates encouraged to apply.
