Procurement Litigation Solicitor | NQ-4 PQE | Birmingham (hybrid)
A leading national law firm is seeking a Procurement Litigation Solicitor to join their highly regarded Procurement Litigation team in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role with highly flexible hybrid working, offering exposure to a broad range of procurement, public law and commercial disputes.
The Role:
Advise major corporates, central government departments, local authorities, NHS bodies and other public-sector clients on contentious procurement matters.
Handle disputes ranging from procurement risk management and pre-action advice through to High Court litigation and trial.
Act for both Claimants and Defendants, developing broad contentious and advisory experience.
Work on a range of related matters including judicial review, complex IT disputes, injunctive relief, commercial contract disputes, corporate litigation and professional negligence.
Draft pleadings, correspondence, legal advice and other litigation documents.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm's national corporate, commercial and public law litigation teams.
Support business development and develop strong relationships with clients and intermediaries.
Candidate Requirements:
NQ-3 Solicitor with an interest in procurement litigation.
Knowledge of, or genuine enthusiasm to develop, public procurement law, including the Procurement Act 2023 and Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
Some experience or knowledge of public law litigation and/or commercial dispute resolution.
Strong drafting, legal research and analytical skills.
Commercial and practical approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication and client management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a national team.
Strong organisation and project management skills.
Genuine interest in business development.
