Employment Senior Associate - Birmingham BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a highly regarded national law firm on the recruitment of a Senior Associate to join its Employment team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Employment lawyer to join a top-ranked practice, advising a diverse client base across the commercial, higher education, health, sports and charitable sectors. The Role Advising employers on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Providing practical, commercially focused advice across a varied client base. Undertaking advocacy at Preliminary Hearings where appropriate. Building and maintaining strong client relationships. Delivering client training, seminars and legal updates. Supporting business development and contributing to the continued growth of the team. Working closely with experienced Employment partners and colleagues across the wider national practice. Opportunity to collaborate with a national Employment, Pensions and Immigration team of 90+ lawyers. The Candidate Employment Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE, gained in a reputable private practice or in-house environment. Strong technical employment law knowledge and experience across both contentious and non-contentious matters. Commercial and pragmatic approach to client advice. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Comfortable undertaking advocacy and delivering client training. A genuine interest in business development and developing client relationships.
