An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified solicitor to join a Tier 1-ranked Housing Management & Property Litigation team within a leading specialist firm. This award-winning firm is known for its deep sector expertise, particularly in advising social housing providers, local authorities, and private landlords. The team is ranked Tier 1 for social housing work and continues to expand in line with client demand and wider market opportunities.
This firm is seeking a Housing Management & Property Litigation Solicitor to join their thriving and collegiate team in London. This role offers a mix of contentious housing litigation and advisory work, giving you the chance to develop real depth in a specialist, evolving area of law.
You will handle a varied caseload, including matters such as possession claims, injunctions, disrepair cases, and non-contentious advisory work involving policy and compliance. The team acts for over 100 Registered Providers and numerous local authorities and private landlords, offering exposure to high-quality work and excellent career development.
This is an ideal opportunity for a solicitor with existing experience in housing litigation or property litigation, looking to work within a nationally respected team where you'll receive strong mentoring, meaningful responsibility, and the chance to contribute to wider client initiatives and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a diverse caseload of housing management and property litigation matters.
- Acting for social landlords, local authorities and private landlords on contentious and advisory matters.
- Supporting senior lawyers and partners on complex, high-value cases.
- Providing client-focused, practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
- Supervising junior team members (where appropriate to your experience).
- Engaging in client training, seminars and wider business development activities.
- Managing deadlines efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Candidate Requirements:
- 3-5 years' post-qualification experience in housing management and/or property litigation.
- Strong litigation experience, ideally including possession proceedings, disrepair, anti-social behaviour, and injunctions.
- A client-centred, commercial approach and confidence in managing your own matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support colleagues and junior team members.
- An interest in developing deeper sector knowledge in the housing space.
