A leading UK law firm is seeking an ambitious Real Estate Disputes Solicitor to join its highly regarded London-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Property Litigation Lawyer to build a long-term career within a high-performing, collaborative real estate litigation practice, working on complex, high-value matters for premium clients.
The firm is recognised for its technical excellence, commercial insight and collaborative culture. It advises major UK and international clients across a range of sectors and is known for investing heavily in its people, fostering an inclusive environment where individuals are encouraged to develop and succeed over the long term.
The role offers exposure to cutting-edge issues in the real estate sector, early responsibility, and genuine support for career progression within a stable and well-invested team.
As part of a broader growth strategy, the firm is expanding its Real Estate Disputes capability in London. The successful candidate will advise on a wide spectrum of contentious property matters, ranging from traditional landlord and tenant disputes through to complex, high-profile litigation involving development projects, building safety, and the living sector.
This is a chance to work closely with experienced Partners and senior Associates while developing your own practice and client relationships in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
The Real Estate Disputes team sits within a large, national Real Estate Group and is led by a well-established partnership across London and the regions. The London office offers a strong peer group at Associate level, alongside senior lawyers who are committed to mentoring and development.
The team is recognised for its work on high-value, complex and often precedent-setting disputes, including matters involving the Building Safety Act, development disputes and strategic litigation with clients including institutional landlords, major retailers, developers, investors, infrastructure businesses, banks, and professional advisers.
The culture is collegiate, ambitious and genuinely supportive, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and long-term career growth.
You can expect a broad and engaging caseload covering all aspects of contentious real estate work, including:
- Landlord and tenant disputes, including contested and uncontested lease renewals
- Dilapidations claims
- Break notices, forfeiture and possession proceedings
- Rent review disputes
- Development-related disputes and property management issues
- Involvement in complex litigation relating to building safety, rights of light and joint ventures
You will manage your own matters with appropriate supervision and play an active role in larger, more complex cases alongside Partners and senior team members. There is also scope to contribute to business development and client relationship-building at an early stage.
Associates are encouraged to take responsibility, develop commercially, and build a clear pathway towards progression.
To be considered, you will typically have:
- UK qualification as a Solicitor with 2+ years' PQE in real estate disputes / property litigation
- Strong technical ability combined with commercial awareness
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills
- The ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively
- A collaborative mindset and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
