Property Litigation Solicitor | London
A highly regarded UK law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Housing Management & Property Litigation Solicitor to join its expanding national team, in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established housing litigator to take on a senior, autonomous role within one of the UK's most respected social housing and property litigation practices.
The firm is a long-established UK practice with a strong national footprint, consistently recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers UK. It is particularly well known for its Tier 1 ranked work in social housing, advising a broad client base that includes:
- Registered Providers and housing associations
- Local authorities
- Private landlords and care providers
- Developers and investment funds
Despite its size (350+ lawyers and staff), the firm maintains a supportive, collegiate culture with genuine opportunities for progression and leadership.
The Housing Management & Property Litigation team advises over 100 Registered Providers, local authorities and private landlords across England and Wales. The team is widely recognised for its depth of expertise and its involvement in complex, sensitive and high-volume housing litigation matters.
Ongoing growth means the team is keen to attract a lawyer who can run their own caseload, supervise junior colleagues and contribute strategically to the wider practice.
You will manage a varied and challenging caseload of housing management and property litigation matters, with scope to specialise further as your career develops.
Work will include:
- Possession proceedings and injunctions
- Housing conditions and disrepair claims
- Anti-social behaviour matters
- Policy advice and non-contentious housing management issues
- Advising social housing providers and landlords on risk and compliance
In addition, you will:
- Support partners on complex or high-profile cases
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals
- Build strong client relationships and manage expectations
- Deliver client training and contribute to business development initiatives
This role will suit an experienced Solicitor with a strong background in housing litigation.
You are likely to have:
- 5+ years' PQE in housing management and property litigation
- Experience managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision
- Confidence supervising junior team members
- Strong advocacy, drafting and advisory skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
This position offers a clear opportunity to step into a senior role within a market-leading housing team, with real scope to influence the development of the practice. The firm is well known for promoting from within, making this an attractive option for lawyers seeking long-term progression, whether towards senior associate, counsel or partnership.
