An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Disputes Partner to join a progressive and growing UK law firm in London. This role is ideally suited to an established real estate disputes specialist looking to take a leading role in shaping and expanding a successful practice, with genuine influence over strategy, client development and team growth.
The Opportunity:
This is a key strategic hire within a well-regarded Real Estate and Property Disputes team, offering the platform to further build your practice within a supportive, well-resourced environment.
You will work closely with senior leadership to drive the growth of the property disputes offering, leveraging an existing client base while developing new relationships and market opportunities. The firm is known for its collaborative culture, meaning you will benefit from strong internal referral networks across real estate, corporate and private wealth teams.
This role offers significant autonomy, leadership responsibility, and the chance to play a visible role in the continued success of a modern, ambitious law firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading on a broad range of commercial property disputes, acting as the senior lawyer on complex and high-value matters
- Developing and growing your own client base, while contributing to wider firm client relationships
- Delivering high-quality, commercially focused legal advice and maintaining exceptional client service standards
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, ensuring effective matter management, profitability and professional development
- Driving business development initiatives, including client targeting, relationship management and converting opportunities into instructions
- Producing thought leadership and raising your profile in the real estate disputes market
- Supporting the Head of Department in executing the team's business plan and growth strategy
- Managing team performance, financial targets and utilisation, using data and KPIs to inform decision-making
- Identifying and working with external consultants and experts where appropriate
Candidate Profile:
- Established Property Disputes Partner or Senior Legal Director ready for partnership
- Strong background in commercial real estate litigation / property disputes
- Demonstrable client following and a clear, credible business plan
- Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
- Strong leadership capability, with experience mentoring and developing teams
- Commercially astute, with a focus on profitability, growth and client service excellence
