Property Litigation Lawyer | City of London This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded and growing specialist legal team in London, advising an established client base across the social housing and property sectors. The successful candidate will take ownership of their own caseload, working on a varied mix of property litigation and non-contentious property matters, while also supporting partners on more complex cases. The role offers genuine scope to develop your technical expertise, strengthen client relationships and become increasingly involved in business development and the wider growth of the practice. The Housing Management & Property Litigation team acts for more than 100 Registered Providers, local authorities and private landlords across England and Wales. The team provides specialist advice across a broad range of housing management and property litigation issues, combining technical expertise with a practical and commercially focused approach. The successful candidate will have exposure to a varied caseload including service charge disputes, breach of lease claims, lease interpretation and building and fire safety advice. Your work will include a mixture of: - Property litigation, including service charge disputes and breach of lease claims. - Lease interpretation and other non-contentious property matters. - Building safety and fire safety-related advice. - Advising social housing providers, local authorities and private landlords. - Supporting partners on larger and more complex matters. - Managing matters from inception through to resolution. - Providing practical, commercially focused advice on a range of housing and property issues. We are keen to hear from Solicitors, FCILEx Lawyers and Barristers who can demonstrate: - 3+ years' post-qualification experience in housing management and property litigation. - Experience managing your own files and caseload. - Strong technical legal ability and effective case management skills. - Experience in property litigation and/or building and fire safety matters. - For FCILEx candidates, Civil Litigation Practice Rights are required. - The ability to work independently while seeking appropriate supervision when required. - The ability to prioritise a demanding workload and manage multiple deadlines. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills. - Commercial awareness and a proactive approach. - Excellent attention to detail. - Resilience, focus and determination to achieve positive outcomes. - A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues.
