4th - 6th year M&A Associate (top-50 firm)

A leading international law firm is seeking a talented mid-level associate to join its Corporate / M&A practice in Chicago. The team advises strategic companies, private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, founders, and investors on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions. The role offers significant responsibility and direct client exposure across complex public and private M&A matters, including acquisitions, disposals, carve-outs, joint ventures, growth investments, and sponsor-backed transactions. Representative Experience * Public and private company acquisitions and divestitures * Private equity platform and add-on acquisitions * Cross-border strategic transactions * Healthcare, industrials, software, infrastructure, and energy-related transactions * Transaction structuring, negotiation, and execution across the deal lifecycle Candidate Requirements * 4-6 years' experience from a leading corporate / M&A practice * Strong drafting and negotiation skills * Experience managing transaction documents and coordinating diligence and closing processes * Familiarity with private equity and strategic M&A transactions * Admission to the Illinois Bar (or eligibility to waive in) preferred * Excellent academic credentials and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
