Employment Senior Associate / Legal Director 8+ PQE - Leeds A UK-Top 100 commercial firm seeks an experienced Employment Senior Associate or Legal Director to join their specialist employment healthcare practice, based in their Leeds office. The team are at the forefront of the health and social care sector and you will have the opportunity to work on complex and often high-profile matters both contentious and non-contentious. THE ROLE The Employment Healthcare practice work nationally cross-office with senior top ranked specialists leading the team. The team act mostly for employers, including national and multi-national businesses, supporting them to enhance their employment practices, handling workforce issues, as well as defending employment litigation and seeking to mitigate risks for clients. Key Responsibilities will include: · Manage a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters · Work collaboratively with partner leads and colleagues across all four offices · Overseeing and advising on employee relations matters including internal disciplinary/grievance/capability processes · Reviewing policies, procedures and contracts and advising on equalities obligations · Advising on restructures/redundancy processes and TUPE issues · Conduct of and/or support on Employment Tribunals · Supervision of junior colleagues. Clients include the NHS, independent healthcare organisations and operators within social care and the voluntary sector. As market-leaders in these sectors, you can expect high-quality work and often-groundbreaking employment litigation. ABOUT YOU You will be a Qualified Solicitor with at least 8 years' PQE gained in an established employment practice. You will also have the following skills/experience: · A broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment experience, ideally across the health and social care sector. · Well-acquainted with the NHS workforce and contractual frameworks, including Agenda for Change, medical contracts, MHPS and other national healthcare frameworks, regulatory requirements and practices. · Client focused approach and an interest in business development. · Advocacy experience is desirable but not essential.
