Litigation Associate

A leading national law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex litigation, excellent academic credentials, and a keen interest in insurance coverage litigation, dispute analysis, and coverage assessments. Key Responsibilities: Draft complex case evaluations, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents. Handle all stages of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal. Conduct legal research and draft analytical memoranda. Manage written discovery, document review, and depositions. Work closely with clients, witnesses, experts, and other counsel. Analyze insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes, including drafting coverage opinions and related analyses. Experience in insurance coverage litigation is a plus; candidates with complex litigation experience and an interest in insurance coverage work are encouraged to apply. Genuine interest in emerging risks in insurance, as well as environmental and products liability underlying litigation. Strong writing, case management, client-facing, and oral advocacy skills. A federal District Court or Appellate clerkship is a plus. Additional Requirements: Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state where the candidate will be practicing. Candidates for Washington, DC, may be licensed in any U.S. state or territory if eligible to waive into the Washington, DC Bar.
