Exciting Opportunity: Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) & Director Role We are a well-established legal practice seeking a dynamic and experienced solicitor to take on the pivotal role of Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Director. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm, contributing to its continued growth and success. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations. Monitoring regulatory compliance and reporting material breaches to the SRA when necessary. Maintaining robust compliance systems and controls. Cultivating and promoting a strong compliance culture within the firm. Collaborating closely with other directors in shaping the firm's strategy and development. Essential Requirements: Qualified solicitor with the necessary seniority and experience to fulfil the COLP role. In-depth knowledge of the SRA Standards and Regulations. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to support and guide the firm as it continues to grow and evolve. Desirable Experience: Experience in housing disrepair work is advantageous, but not essential. Familiarity with compliance management within a growing business.
