Labor & Employment Associate - Houston Houston, Texas | 3-5 years' experience | $260,000-$340,000 A leading international law firm is looking to add a Labor & Employment Associate to its Houston team. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate with 3-5 years of high-quality labor and employment experience who is looking to work on sophisticated matters for employer clients within a highly regarded national practice. The Role: The successful candidate will advise and represent employers across a broad range of labor and employment matters, including both contentious and advisory work. The role will involve: Advising employers on a range of labor and employment issues. Handling single-plaintiff, complex, class and collective action litigation. Advising on employment policies and workplace issues. Managing administrative charges and employment-related investigations. Drafting pleadings, motions and other legal documents. Assisting with depositions, mediations, court conferences and dispositive motions. Working on wage and hour matters where applicable. Working closely with senior attorneys on complex and high-value matters. Taking increasing responsibility for matters and developing strong client relationships. About You: The firm is looking for someone with: 3-5 years' experience representing employers in labor and employment matters. Strong employment litigation experience. Experience with single-plaintiff, complex, class and/or collective actions. Excellent legal research, writing and communication skills. Strong academic credentials and analytical ability. Good commercial judgment and a practical approach to problem-solving. The ability to manage matters with increasing levels of autonomy. A strong work ethic and genuine interest in developing within a leading L&E practice. Texas Bar admission, or the ability to waive into Texas. Judicial clerkship experience is advantageous but not essential. What's on Offer $260,000-$340,000 base salary, depending on experience and other factors. Annual merit increase and bonus eligibility.
