Corporate Solicitor A highly regarded legal practice is seeking a commercially minded and driven Corporate Solicitor to join its established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with ambition and initiative to become a key part of a department advising a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses (OMBs) and small to medium enterprises (SMEs). The role offers a predominantly transactional workload with some exposure to general commercial matters, acting for a wide range of private companies, including both early-stage ventures and those with turnovers exceeding £100 million. You will receive tailored support and development aligned to your level of post-qualification experience, ensuring you continue to build your expertise in a collaborative and supportive environment. Role Overview The successful candidate will provide legal advice and services to clients, taking detailed instructions and delivering pragmatic, tailored solutions. You will play a proactive role in business development, maintaining and strengthening client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the firm. Key Responsibilities Include: * Meeting and interviewing clients to assess their legal needs and determine suitability of services * Taking instructions and advising on relevant legal matters * Drafting and negotiating legal documents, contracts and correspondence * Conducting legal research and ensuring accuracy in advice and procedure * Overseeing agreement implementation and liaising with all relevant parties * Managing referrals both within the firm and with external advisors * Supervising junior team members including trainees and support staff * Contributing to the firm's fee income targets and supporting departmental goals * Taking an active role in client development initiatives Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will be client-focused, technically proficient, and commercially aware. You will have a proactive approach to client service and a desire to contribute meaningfully to team and firm-wide success. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are key.
