Real Estate Dispute Resolution Associate - Manchester
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Real Estate Dispute Resolution Associate to join a highly regarded property litigation team within a national legal and professional services firm. This role offers exposure to high-quality, varied contentious real estate work, alongside genuine scope for career development, progression and profile-building within the market.
The Opportunity
You will join a specialist Real Estate Dispute Resolution team that is recognised for its commercial, pragmatic approach to resolving complex property disputes. Working closely with an experienced partner and senior fee earners, you will gain hands-on involvement across a broad range of contentious real estate matters, with increasing autonomy as your experience develops.
The role offers an excellent platform for solicitors seeking to deepen their technical expertise, take ownership of files, and play an active role in business development and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Advising on a wide range of landlord and tenant disputes, including lease renewals, dilapidations and forfeiture
Handling development-related disputes, such as rights of light, restrictive covenants and boundary issues
Managing possession claims and trespass actions
Supporting property insolvency and enforcement matters
Drafting pleadings, witness statements and instructions to counsel
Attending court hearings, mediations and client meetings
Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision
Supporting senior colleagues on complex litigation and ADR matters
Contributing to team training, knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior team members
Assisting with marketing and business development initiatives
The Team
The team sits within a wider national Property division and acts for a diverse client base including developers, investors, landlords, tenants and public sector bodies. Known for its straight-talking and commercially focused advice, the team prides itself on being approachable, collaborative and solutions-driven.
About You
Applications are welcomed from solicitors who are enthusiastic, commercially minded and keen to build a long-term career in property litigation.
You will ideally have:
Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales
2-5 years' PQE in real estate dispute resolution or property litigation
Experience of County Court and First-tier Tribunal proceedings
