Senior / Managing Associate - Employment Law

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Senior or Managing Associate specialising in Employment law to join a highly ranked national Employment team within a leading UK law firm. This role will be with the existing team in Manchester and offers genuine flexibility, including hybrid working and consideration of part-time arrangements.
The Team & Firm
You will join a large, nationally integrated Employment team comprising over 60 specialists across the UK. The team advises a high-quality client base, including listed and household-name organisations, across a variety of sectors.

The Role
As a Senior/Managing Associate, you can expect a varied and intellectually stimulating workload, including:
Leading on complex Employment Tribunal litigation, predominantly acting for employer respondents
Advising employers on day-to-day and strategic employment matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, restructurings and redundancies
Providing specialist employment law support on TUPE, corporate transactions, outsourcing and business reorganisations
Advising on and enforcing post-termination restrictive covenants
Drafting and negotiating contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, settlement agreements and related documentation
Working closely with Partners on business development initiatives and client relationship management
Supervising, mentoring and developing junior lawyers, contributing to the continued growth of the team
About You
This role will suit an ambitious and commercially minded Employment lawyer with:
At least 5 years' PQE in Employment law (UK-qualified solicitor - SRA or Law Society registered)
Strong experience advising employer clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters
A client-focused approach with the confidence to build and maintain long-term relationships
Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
