Knowledge Lawyer - Employment Law An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor to step into a Knowledge Lawyer / Professional Support role within a highly regarded national Employment practice. This role will suit either an established Knowledge Lawyer or a fee-earning Employment lawyer (5+ PQE) who is looking to move into a strategic, non-fee-earning position while remaining closely connected to complex, market-leading employment law work. The Opportunity As a Knowledge Lawyer, you will sit at the heart of the Employment practice, supporting lawyers nationally and helping to drive consistency, quality, innovation and risk management across the team. This is a visible and influential role with real scope to develop your profile internally and externally, contribute to thought leadership, and work closely with partners, associates, trainees and business services teams. Key Responsibilities Developing, maintaining and enhancing Employment law precedents, practice notes and templates Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and advising on their practical impact Responding to complex technical queries from fee earners Designing and delivering internal training for trainees, junior lawyers and the wider Employment team Creating and delivering client training, where appropriate Managing and promoting the firm's internal knowledge database, ensuring materials are current and accessible Working collaboratively with Risk, Knowledge, Innovation and Business Services teams Identifying opportunities for process improvement, efficiency and legal technology solutions Drafting and contributing to legal updates, thought leadership and external publications Supporting tender responses and client-facing materials Mentoring trainees and supporting the development of research and knowledge skills Collaborating with other Knowledge Lawyers across different practice areas Candidate Profile A qualified Solicitor in England & Wales 5+ years' PQE with strong experience in Employment law Currently working as a Knowledge Lawyer or a fee-earner keen to transition into a knowledge-focused role Confident communicating complex legal developments clearly and concisely Interested in innovation, legal technology and continuous improvement The Team & Firm You will be joining a top-ranked Employment team, recognised in both Chambers UK and Legal 500, operating as a single national practice across England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The team advises a blue-chip client base across a variety of sectors handling everything from large-scale reorganisations and TUPE matters to sensitive investigations, board-level advisory work and tribunal litigation.
