Commercial Disputes Associate - Manchester

The Opportunity
You will join a dynamic and high-performing commercial disputes team known for delivering strategic, commercially focused advice to an impressive client base, including major corporates, public sector bodies, and high-net-worth individuals.
Working closely with experienced partners across the UK and internationally, you will play a key role in advising on a broad spectrum of contentious matters while contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
This role offers a diverse and high-quality caseload of commercial disputes, exposure to cross-border matters and multi-jurisdictional work and the opportunity to develop expertise across a range of specialist areas.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing and supporting a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including complex and high-value disputes
- Advising clients on dispute resolution strategies, including litigation, arbitration, and ADR (mediation, negotiation, adjudication)
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and legal correspondence
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across different practice areas on multi-disciplinary matters
- Supporting partners on large-scale and cross-border disputes
- Contributing to business development, client relationship management, and thought leadership initiatives
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- 3+ years' PQE in commercial litigation or dispute resolution
- A strong technical grounding in commercial disputes law
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams and offices
- An interest in business development and building long-term client relationships
