Commercial Litigation Associate NQ + Greater Manchester | Hybrid Working An excellent opportunity for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join a highly regarded, Legal 500 Top Tier dispute resolution team, handling a broad range of complex commercial disputes within a supportive and collaborative environment. The Opportunity This is an excellent position for a commercial litigation solicitor who is looking to develop their career within a respected team, undertaking high-quality work for a diverse business client base. The successful candidate will join an established dispute resolution practice, which is recognised as a leading team and known for its expertise in resolving complex business disputes. Working alongside experienced partners and senior litigators, you will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload under supervision, contribute to significant matters and develop your technical expertise and client relationships. The Role You will work closely with senior members of the Commercial Litigation team, assisting on a varied caseload while taking responsibility for smaller matters under appropriate supervision. Your responsibilities will include: - Advising on a broad range of commercial and contractual disputes. - Assisting with company, shareholder and partnership disputes. - Handling professional negligence claims. - Working on intellectual property and IT disputes. - Advising on commercial agency claims and franchise disputes. - Supporting insolvency litigation and banking claims. - Assisting with applications for injunctive relief and supervising search orders. - Advising on defamation, reputation management and related contentious matters. - Managing smaller litigation files under partner supervision, ensuring matters progress efficiently and clients receive clear, practical advice. - Supporting senior colleagues on complex disputes and developing effective litigation strategies. - Contributing to business development and wider practice development initiatives. Candidate Requirements You will ideally have: - At least 2 years' PQE in commercial litigation, with experience up to approximately 6 years' PQE considered. - A strong academic background and solid litigation training. - Well-rounded experience of commercial disputes and civil litigation. - The ability to assist senior litigators on complex matters and manage smaller files independently under supervision. - Experience gained within a national law firm or a leading regional practice. - Familiarity with advising SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
