COMMERCIAL LITIGATION SOLICITOR - NEWCASTLE
An established and highly regarded commercial law firm in the North East is looking to expand its Dispute Resolution team with the appointment of a talented Commercial Litigation Solicitor (3+ years PQE). The team itself is fast-paced, engaging, and diverse in its workload. You'll be advising a wide range of clients across the UK on everything from day-to-day disputes to complex, high-value litigation and strategic projects. No two days are the same, and you'll be encouraged to take ownership of your matters while being supported by experienced colleagues.
You'll play a key role within a busy dispute resolution team, handling a broad caseload of commercial litigation matters and contributing to the team's continued growth and success. The work is varied and intellectually stimulating, offering exposure to both routine advisory work and more complex, high-profile disputes.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a wide range of commercial dispute resolution matters
Providing clear, pragmatic legal advice to clients across multiple sectors
Supporting on complex litigation and project-based work
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Contributing to business development initiatives and team growth
The successful candidate will:
- Be a commercially minded solicitor who enjoys working as part of a close-knit and ambitious team. You'll be proactive, adaptable, and confident in dealing directly with clients.
- Have at least 3 years' PQE in commercial litigation (candidates with more experience are also encouraged to apply)
- Solid experience across a broad spectrum of dispute resolution work
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial litigation processes and procedures
- Excellent communication and client management skills
Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
- Contentious construction
- Contentious probate
- Procurement disputes
- Intellectual property disputes
- IT, data, and reputation management matters
