Associate/Senior Associate - Private Client

Private Client Solicitor/Senior Associate - National and Award Winning Firm BCL Legal are working with a prestigious national law firm renowned for its expertise in Probate work. Legal 500 and UK Chambers ranked. The firm are seeking a dedicated Senior Associate to join their regional teams Private Client department for their Norwich office with the opportunity to work from their other offices with East Anglia. The position entails advising clients on a spectrum of probate matters, including applications for grants of representation, inheritance tax calculations, post-death variations, asset distribution, and trust establishment or restructuring. Additionally, you will be working on broader issues such as estate and succession planning, tax matters, Will drafting, and trust management. The work is varied as they act for a range of clients from landowners to entrepreneurs, and it is often necessary to work collaboratively with other teams e.g. real estate, corporate. To thrive in this role, the following skills and experience are essential: - Able to commute to the Cambridge or Norfolk office. - A minimum of 4 years PQE, preferably gained at a reputable firm with a focus on high net worth individuals. - A proven track record of independently managing files, including financial oversight. - A strong foundation in preparing accounts for probates and trusts. - A commitment to fostering robust client relationships. - Progress towards or completion of the STEP Diploma is highly advantageous. - Some experience of supervising junior members of the team.
