Commercial Health Senior Associate 5+ PQE - Market leading firm - Cardiff/Exeter An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Health Solicitor to join one of the country's leading commercial health teams at a national law firm in Cardiff or Exeter. This team can offer access to a hugely broad diet of commercial work within the health and social care sector including all forms of primary care contracting and increasingly commercial agreements in the life sciences sector including dealing with tech, licensing, IP and data provisions. This is a friendly and approachable team that will support you in your development while offering you the best quality commercial health work and access to clients and projects both nationally and internationally. The Role As a Commercial Health Solicitor in this team, your responsibilities would include: * Undertaking a general commercial role within the firm's commercial health team. * Specific work will include: o commercial contracts including NHS standard clinical and non-clinical contracts and bespoke contracts including outsourcing agreements o commercial agreements in the life sciences sector including dealing with licensing, IP and data provisions o all forms of primary care contracting including drafting new national standard contracts o collaboration agreements, partnerships, joint ventures and outsourcing o governance issues including advice on directors' duties, conflicts of interest, etc. for both NHS and private sector healthcare clients o health / local authority partnerships (s 75 arrangements) o NHS commissioning policy * Supervision of more junior team members * Business development and marketing * Attending and speaking at healthcare seminars and conferences * Writing articles for health sector trade journals and contributing to bulletins and other content Candidate Profile To be successful in your application for this Commercial Health Solicitor position, you will have: * A minimum of five years' post qualification commercial experience * An enthusiasm for and appetite to work for clients in the health and social care sector * Experience of working for clients in the healthcare sector. * Keen supervisory, marketing, business development and networking skills Job Offer The successful Commercial Health Solicitor will be rewarded with: * A highly competitive salary and comprehensive benefits scheme * A firm-wide bonus * Genuine work life balance * A flexible approach to working patterns * 3/2 home/office working. * The very best commercial health work, nationally and internationally Apply Now BCL Legal is an equal opportunities employer.
