What time did you wake up this morning?
5:30 – This is the norm as the drive to work is two hours!!

What’s your favourite object in your office?
The coffee machine!

Who is your closest colleague?
No one person, however I have a great working relationship with our chairman and a great team in our board.

Do you have a favourite family heirloom?
A painting done by my dad – not an heirloom per se (yet). However, I would love it to be passed down through the family; now I just need to decide which of my children is the ‘favourite’.

What’s your favourite song of all time?
I have a very diverse taste in music from classical to dance music, so a struggle to pick any one particular song. One that brings back memories of a great summer though is Ultra Nate’s ‘Free’.

What’s your favourite play?
Merchant of Venice.

Who’s your favourite movie star?
De Niro.

What’s your favourite book?
Midnight Express.

What book are you reading right now?
The BFG and Good Strategy, Bad Strategy by Richard Rummelt.

What book do you wish you had written?
Any of Roald Dahl’s.

What’s the greatest invention of all time?
The aforementioned coffee machine!!! That or Penicillin; tough call!!

Is there a sport that you wish you could play?
Golf... even though I do try very, very hard!

Who inspires you in business?
Richard Branson.

Dress up, dress down or somewhere in between?
Somewhere in between.

Where do you go to relax?
Theoretically, the golf course. However, for some reason, I always come back more stressed than when I left.

What country have you always wanted to visit?
Vietnam.

Besides your phone, what do you always have with you?
My watch as I always make a point of being late for meetings somehow. Useless invention!

What’s the best part about your job?
Working with the team we have at Jackson Lees – inspirational.

What’s your favourite post-work tipple?
Rum and coke – memories of a former life working in the Caribbean.

Finally, what’s your guilty pleasure?
A McDonalds Big Mac.... sad but true.
