How do you like to start the day?
I clean up the kitchen and make a cup of tea.
What’s your favourite object in your office/home office?
At my home office my dual screens, at the office our foosball table, though I am very bad at it.
Who is your closest colleague?
I work with my wife and my brother, so probably my wife.
Do you have a favourite family heirloom?
A bust of Chief Sitting Bull which is the only thing we have from our father.
What’s your favourite song of all time?
“The Train Song” by Tom Waits.
What’s your favourite play?
Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett.
Who’s your favourite movie star?
Audrey Hepburn.
What’s your favourite book?
The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester.
What book are you reading right now?
What book do you wish you had written?
What’s the greatest invention of all time?
AI will be the most transformative invention, one way or another.
Is there a sport you wish you could play?
Football.
Who inspires you in business?
I don’t really have one person, though I am constantly inspired by many of the people I work with.
In the office do you dress up, dress down or somewhere in between?
Definitely dress down. I dislike wearing suits, though my wife says she likes me in them.
Where do you go to relax?
Skiing in the mountains.
What country have you always wanted to visit?
Japan.
Besides your phone, what do you always have with you?
A notepad and pen.
What’s the best part of your job?
Being in a position to create a good working life for those I work with.
How do you unwind after work?
Read or watch TV.
Finally, what’s your guilty pleasure?
Dancing until the early hours.
