What time did you wake up this morning?

 4:00am but I stayed in bed until 6:30am.

What’s your favourite object in your office?

 We have a collection of model solar powered wind turbines from our suppliers.

Who is your closest colleague?

Our CEO, but we have a very small close-knit team which feels more like an extended family (with all the blessings and arguments that go with that!).

Do you have a favourite family heirloom?

A soft toy Moose Head which hangs in our hall at home.

What’s your favourite song of all time?

Blowin’ in the Wind by Bob Dylan or Wooden Ships by Crosby Stills and Nash. I’m an old hippy at heart.

What’s your favourite play?

King Lear.

Who’s your favourite movie star?

Al Pacino.

What’s your favourite book?

Lord of the Rings.

What book are you reading right now?

The Essex Serpent and a biography of Winston Churchill.

What book do you wish you had written?

Siddhartha by Herman Hesse or the Harry Potter series (for the royalties).

What’s the greatest invention of all time?

The wheel. Hard to beat it.

 Is there a sport that you wish you could play?

I wish I could ski.  I’m useless at it.

Who inspires you in business?

Elon Musk.

Dress up, dress down or somewhere in between?

Somewhere in between.

Where do you go to relax?

The Lake District whenever possible or otherwise just the garden.

What country have you always wanted to visit?

Chile.

Besides your phone, what do you always have with you?

Photos of my children.

What’s the best part about your job?

It’s a privilege to work in such a vital evolving industry sector and to work with intelligent, caring and dedicated people who constantly educate each other.

What’s your favourite post-work tipple?

Italian red wine.

Too much of the former.
