Litigation / Appellate Associate - 2-5 PQE | Fort Worth, Texas A well-established Fort Worth law firm is looking to add a Litigation / Appellate Associate to its growing litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a 2-5 year attorney with a strong civil or commercial litigation background who is interested in developing their appellate experience. The firm has a long-standing presence in the Fort Worth market and represents clients across a broad range of industries in complex business and commercial disputes. Associates are given meaningful responsibility and hands-on exposure from an early stage, working closely with experienced litigators. The Role You will have the opportunity to be involved across the full litigation lifecycle, including: Case strategy and client communication Discovery and document review Drafting pleadings, motions and substantive briefs Taking and defending depositions Motion hearings and trial preparation Mediations and arbitrations Appellate briefing and strategy Preservation of error and post-trial motions Legal research and analysis Supporting appellate proceedings and oral argument The role offers a combination of commercial litigation and appellate work, making it particularly suited to someone who enjoys both advocacy and high-level legal research and writing. The Ideal Candidate The firm is looking for an attorney with: 2-5 years of substantive litigation experience A Texas Bar license in good standing Civil or commercial litigation experience Experience with state and federal court practice Strong legal research and persuasive writing skills Experience drafting pleadings, motions and briefs Deposition and discovery experience An interest in or previous exposure to appellate practice Strong organisational and communication skills The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team Moot court, law review, judicial clerkship or previous appellate experience would be advantageous.
