Real Estate Litigation Legal Director Manchester - Hybrid A leading international law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Legal Director to join its established and growing Real Estate Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute real estate litigation solicitor to take on a senior, high-profile position, advising clients on complex and high-value commercial property disputes while playing an important role in the continued growth and strategic development of the practice. The role would suit a confident and client-focused lawyer who combines strong technical expertise with a genuine interest in business development, relationship management and team leadership. The Opportunity As Legal Director, you will take responsibility for a varied and interesting caseload of commercial real estate and property litigation matters. You will work closely with a diverse client base, providing clear, practical and commercially focused advice and helping clients achieve their wider business objectives. Your work will include: Opposed and unopposed lease renewals, Restrictive covenant disputes, Break options, Dilapidations claims, Rights of way and easement disputes, Boundary disputes, Trespass and nuisance claims, Possession proceedings, Property disputes involving insolvency and other complex commercial property and real estate litigation matters Alongside your fee-earning responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the growth, development and strategic direction of the Real Estate Litigation team. Key Responsibilities - Manage a complex and high-value caseload of commercial property and real estate disputes from inception through to resolution. - Provide technically strong, pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice to clients. - Develop trusted relationships with key clients and become a valued strategic adviser. - Identify and support new business opportunities across both existing and prospective client relationships. - Contribute to the continued growth and profile of the real estate litigation practice. - Work collaboratively with transactional real estate lawyers and other internal teams to provide a joined-up service to clients. - Supervise, mentor and support junior lawyers and other members of the wider team. About You You will ideally have: - Significant experience gained within a respected real estate or real estate litigation team. - Strong technical expertise across complex and high-value commercial property disputes. - A personable, collaborative approach and the ability to establish credibility with senior clients and colleagues. This is more than a senior fee-earning position.
