How do you like to start the day?

By waking up naturally just shortly before the alarm goes off.

What is your favourite object in your office/home office?

My book where I write my to-do lists, my thoughts and ideas.

Who is your closet colleague?

Jane Sampson, who is a Family Advocate, a friend, and has been by my side my entire career.

Do you have a favourite family heirloom?

My Dad has just given me his entire record collection which holds so many memories and will continue to bring me great enjoyment.

What is your favourite song of all time?

"American Pie". I saw Don McLean live in 1977 at the Cambridge Folk Festival. My favourite club was “The State” and that was the last song they always played. It is a song that holds so many happy memories.

What is your favourite play?

I haven’t really got one, but I enjoy taking my godchildren to the pantomime every year as it is full of fun and a tradition.

Who is your favourite movie star?

Johnny Depp.

What is your favourite book?

I haven’t really got a favourite book. I like reading but there are so many books to read. I only read books once. Girl Woman Other by Bernardine Evaristo is a really enjoyable read.

What book are you reading right now?

I am going to Japan in April, so I am reading Butter by Asako Yuzuki, which is a Japanese novel that has been translated into English.

What book do you wish you had written?

A book of the top 100 restaurants in the world because I would have had to have travelled and sampled those restaurants, and I love food and travel.

What is the greatest invention of all time?

Definitely the phone as it enables people to keep in touch, communicate, do business. It still amazes me today how it works.

Is there a sport you wish you could play?

I would like to learn to play Padel. It seems to be the new “in” craze.

Who inspires you in business?

John Kilgallon of 7 Harrington Street. He has built a formidable network of barristers through making genuine connections, empowering the careers of junior staff and having a lot of fun along the way!

In the office do you dress up or down?

I like clothes and so I like to dress up when I come to the office.

Where do you go to relax?

I like going on holiday and to lots of different places, but I have an apartment in Majorca and I really enjoy going there and relaxing.

What country have you always wanted to visit?

I am quite well travelled, and I have visited a lot of countries that were on my bucket list. India is my favourite place, and I would like to go and spend more time there travelling around.

Besides your phone, what do you always have with you?

A lip gloss.

What is the best part of your job?

The fact that it is varied, and no two days are the same.

How do you unwind after work?

I like walking and drinking red wine.

What is your guilty pleasure?

A sly vape now and again.
